This is a blog dedicated to keeping you updated on all that is The State Theatre of downtown State College, PA. On this blog you will find info on the concerts, films, and other special events that are upcoming at The State. This site will be focused on bringing more info on the events than you can normally find at The State's regular homepage. We will be posting videos, reviews, and more overall info than you can find anywhere else.

We will also be getting our readers involved as well. We will be doing a different poll every week to see how you, the reader, think The State is doing with their programming schedule. Also within the polls we will be asking who and what you would like to see at The State. On top of the polling you will be able to comment on everything that is posted on the blog, which now gives you more input than ever before. We here at The State Theatre Blog are very interested in what you think, so we overwhelmingly encourage you to join in on the blogging fun.

**UPDATE Daily Collegian Article** This Friday 2/6 Beatlemania Now Wants To Hold Your Hand at The State

This Friday The State welcomes Beatlemania Now, a very talented and world renowned Beatles tribute band. In case you missed the first post on this heavily anticipated upcoming show you can find that info HERE. Below you can find some more information from the band's website about how they came to be so well known for their act:

"BEATLEMANIA NOW!"...formed from members of the original Tony-award winning Broadway musical, has toured worldwide, performing to countless audiences since 1984.

"BEATLEMANIA NOW!" is the Ultimate Multi-Media Beatles Stage Show touring the world today! Through six scenes (and accompanying costume changes) witness the dramatic impact, and feel the pure nostalgia, as Beatlemania Now recaptures the excitement, mood and frantic intensity of the 1960's all set against a stunning multi-media backdrop of live images and visual montages featuring news clips, documentary reels, and movie and concert footage (all carefully assembled by a crew of more than thirty historians, artists, film editors, and researchers)!

Meticulously faithful to the original music, Beatlemania Now's four member cast recreate, note for note, over 35 classic songs in an extravaganza that retraces the entire career of the greatest cultural phenomenon of all time...
